There’s two broad kinds of applications.
- Library applications like iTunes, Things, YoJimbo, iCal and iPhoto, etc.
- and Process applications like Photoshop, Preview, Quicktime, Firefox, GarageBand, etc.
There’s a third, less prevalent kind that doesn’t deal with data at all, applications that just do things like OmniDazzle. I argue that you could put any application into one of those categories, perhaps with overlapping — eg. Firefox processes webpages one at a time but stores things like bookmarks. I have a clothing problem.
Excluding my extravagant $300-on-one-outfit splurge a few weeks ago, I haven’t really been shopping for clothes in over a year. My favourite pieces of clothing are literally worn so often they’re falling apart. A pair of shorts I’ve had since mid high school has worn through the ass — there’s no rip or tear, they haven’t been grazed, they’ve literally been worn down until there’s nothing left.

The last few exams I’ve taken have all included double negative questions which, when they’re multiple choice and worded the way they are, makes it really hard. I’ve gotten questions wrong where I knew the answer but was so confused by the cryptic question I marked it wrong.
