The Avalonstar Saga
2nd of April, 2007
In an act of strangeness the widely followed blog of Bryan Veloso, Avalonstar, has been taken down with a letter from his fiance in it’s place. Byran Veloso is what you might call an A List blogger which means fanboys. I wasn’t a regular Avalonstar reader but in #wordpress this morning people were calling him, emailing him, messaging him, just freaking out in general.
Leave the guy alone. Sure, speculate on why it’s been taken down but don’t attack the poor guy with a torrent of questions asking why? Why? WHY?!
Firas, a man who always makes a lot of sense, said something this morning - “if something happened to me, putting a message on my website is the last thing I’d do, it would just stagnate” (or something like that, I don’t have the transcript). I completely agree, if something horrible happened to me or my family the last thing I’d be thinking is “oh no! What about my blog readers?”. No offense everyone.
So that leaves us with one conclusion. Avalonstar is down due to something to do with Avalonstar. I have no idea what it could possibly be but is it really so bad? A blog is taken from the internet, the world is still in tact.
