Tetris Bricks

I recently came across a little game called Diggtris. It received a huge amount of diggs, as anything with “Digg” in the title does. Ignoring this game’s obvious uselessness for a moment, they’ve screwed up the most important part of Tetris — they’ve added their own, utterly inferior bricks.

To illustrate:

Dispelling the Myth

The bricks on the left are taken from the brilliant, freeware, OS X tetris game Quinn. The bricks on the left are taken from Diggtris. Quinn respects the legacy of the original with it’s set of bricks, Diggtris does not. It would be rare to be caught in a Tetris situation where the big right angle brick would not create a bridge.

To anyone who thinks they can make a better Tetris - you can’t.
