Think, for a second, about what a fashion parade really is. A group of skeleton thin, sour looking women walking and posing completely unnaturally down a runway wearing clothes so ridiculous and impractical that even the designers don’t bother putting them into production. Why do they show fashion parade documentaries on flights? Why is there an entire TV channel dedicated to this? Wait, why is there an entire industry dedicated to it?

Exhibit A: No girl that’s not an idiot would ever wear this.

I just don’t understand it. If someone, using logic that makes sense, can explain to me the purpose of fashion parades I’ll send them a prize. Don’t say it’s so the designers can show what they can do, if it’s not going to be used, if it’s entirely impractical, if it only looks good on a skeleton walking like a robot, it’s useless, the whole fashion parade phenomenon is pointless.
